What should I do before my eyebrow enhancement?

Tylenol is acceptable. (Do not discontinue any routine medications without consulting with your doctor first.)

Please wash your hair in the morning on the day of your procedure as you will need to keep your eyebrows completely dry for 24 hours following your appointment.

What should I do after my eyebrow enhancement?

Please note that the first few days following your procedure, your eyebrows will appear darker and more intense than anticipated. They will slowly lighten during the healing process. You may experience minimal redness and swelling.

What to expect:

Day 1-2: The area will appear dark and more bold. Do not be concerned, this is a part of the process. Minor swelling and redness may occur right after and you may experience mild tenderness.

Day 3-5: Itchiness in the eyebrows and they will appear thicker in texture. At this time natural exfoliation begins. Refrain from picking at dry areas.

Day 5-7: The skin will begin to scab and flake, do not pull anything off. The color will likely fade up to 60% as your skin is regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least 6-8 weeks to see the true color. Expect some unevenness of color once scabbing has flaked off. The purpose of the complimentary touchup is to perfect your brows.

Day 7-10: The color finishes flaking off and new skin underneath appears softer and less visible for a few weeks.

FOR THE NEXT 7-10 DAYS:

During the first 24 hours, you should avoid washing the skin around your eyebrows, however, you may gently dab the area with a damp cotton pad to remove any build up or dust particles.

Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching the tattooed area.

Do not get the tattoo wet for 10 days (this also includes exercising; you want to keep the area dry and clean).

Do not wash your hair for the first 2 days.

DRY HEAL the area for 24-48 hours after the procedure. After the 24-48 hours healing period, lightly apply Aquaphor 2-3 times per day, for 2 weeks.

DO NOT pick or scratch at any dry skin or flakiness; let the skin or scabs fall off naturally. Picking may cause scarring and premature loss of pigment. Please note; once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. It may seem as though the tattooed area has disappeared completely (see above picture). Within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.

Do not apply make-up to the tattooed are for the first 2 weeks as chemicals may interfere with the healing process and the color of your tattoo.

During the first 2 weeks do not expose your enhancement to direct sun, tanning treatments, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated water and direct shower spray. Also, do not receive eyebrow tinting, waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments close to your eyebrows.

LONG TERM CARE:

PLEASE NOTE there is no guarantee of results - everyone's results will vary due to skin type, lifestyle and the initial 10 day longterm care of your brow tattoo.

Always use good sunscreen on the treated area. Exposure to sun and UV can cause fading and discoloration.

Laser to the brow ares may cause a change of color to the pigment.

Chemical exfoliants will cause brows to fade faster.

*Failure to follow these post-procedure instructions may cause discoloration, loss of pigment and in worst cases, infection.*
